# Minipaper media kit

## One-liner

Minipaper is a wallpaper maker for iPhone and iPad: pick a designer style, change anything you like, and export a Lock Screen that fits your screen exactly.

## Boilerplate

Minipaper is a wallpaper maker for iPhone and iPad by Insula Technology Inc. It offers more than 30 designer styles across gradients, glass, geometry and skeuomorphic objects such as an iPod, a vinyl record and a CRT monitor. Every style opens up to its colours, layout, texture and type, and every wallpaper is rendered on device at the phone's native resolution, following its real display corner radius. Minipaper is free on the App Store, with Minipaper Pro unlocking every premium style. More at minipaper.app.

## Where Minipaper came from

Minipaper began in March 2023 as a small app by designer and developer Jeffrey Li, built on a simple idea: the wallpaper is the first thing you see every time you pick up your phone, so it should feel made for you, not downloaded from a pile of stock images.

The first versions were plain gradients. In January 2024 came Dieter 01, a Lock Screen paying homage to Dieter Rams' classic designs, and with it the idea that came to define the app: wallpapers that read as objects. An AC remote followed, then a handheld console, a CRT monitor, an airplane window, a vinyl record and an iPod with a click wheel, each one laid out so its screen sits exactly where the iOS Lock Screen clock lands.

Gradients, glass and geometry grew up alongside them, including Liquid Glass styles built for iOS 26. None of them are fixed templates. Each style is a set of controls for colour, layout, texture, wear and type, and every export is rendered on the device at the phone's native resolution.

Today Minipaper has more than 30 styles, Live Photo wallpapers, stickers, a full iPad app and 12 languages. It is still made independently by Insula Technology Inc., with no accounts and no uploads: the wallpapers you make never leave your device.
